Scripture Reading: “A good leader motivates, doesn’t mislead, doesn’t exploit.” Proverbs 16:10 (MSG)
If you look back on your life there are certain people who stand-out in your memory as being great “cheerleaders.” The message they gave you was, “You can do it!” “I believe in you!” “You have what it takes!”
I have always said it takes more courage to encourage than to discourage. People are thirsty for others to believe in them. It is as if their insides are saying, “Can I really do this?” Being salt and light in a dark world happens through optimism, through encouragement, and through motivating others to be all that God created them to be.
Today, be the leader that motivates others! Make that call, send that text, shoot that email, or write that card.
Question: Can you name one or two people who have been exceptionally motivating in your life? In what ways did they do that for you?
Question: As a leader, are there people that come to your mind that you think God has placed in your path to motivate? What would that look like today?
Have a great Sunday!
